Our AARP Maine Volunteer State President has set his sights on empowering as many older Mainers as possible to help them use their voices for the collective good.
"It is a month of celebration, homage, awareness and empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States."
A core tenet of AARP is the belief that volunteer service is one of the most important and valuable contributions a person can make to their community. AARP Maine’s Executive Council is a group of volunteer leaders from Maine’s communities who hold that same core value.
AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering Americans 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. We have a membership of over 200,000 in Maine and almost 38 million nationwide. We envision a society in which everyone ages with dignity and purpose.
