Caregiving
The Caregiver, Advise, Record, Enable (CARE) Act takes effect March 8, requiring state agencies to develop guidance for hospitals to ease the transition back home for patients and their caregivers.
Massachusetts is the 34th state to pass the CARE Act.
In terrific news for family caregivers in Massachusetts, today, the Massachusetts Legislature enacted House Bill 3911, An Act Establishing the Caregiver Advise, Record, and Enable (CARE) Act!
Major step forward to support 844,000 Massachusetts caregivers! Now on to the Senate and the Governor’s Desk.
You can still help by contacting House Speaker Robert DeLeo and urging him to bring the CARE Act to a vote before the Massachusetts Legislature.
