Midlife can be a time for new beginnings, whether by starting a business, taking a dream trip or building relationships. But it helps to have a guide.
AARP North Carolina encourages members to forge a path with Life Reimagined, a program that offers interactive, online tutorials as well as live seminars to help people navigate the next stage of their lives. North Carolinians can start online and then attend seminars in Wilmington and other locations across the state.
“It’s a kick-start to thinking about what you want to do in the next phase of your life,” said Lisa Martinez, an AARP volunteer trainer.
The Wilmington events include A Chef’s Life: Vivian Howard, Nov. 16; Love and Relationships with Pepper Schwartz, Nov. 17; and Movies for Grownups plus a caregiver panel, Nov. 18. For details, look under Upcoming Events at aarp.org/nc, and try out the resources at lifereimagined.org.
