The New Hampshire Senior Leadership Program is now taking Senior Leadership Application 2016 for the 2016 class. A collaboration among AARP New Hampshire, Center on Aging and Community Living at UNH, and Dartmouth Centers for Health and Aging, the program is designed for older adults, caregivers, family members and friends who want to advocate for older adults in New Hampshire. Application deadline is February 25.

AARP invites you and a guest to a free screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. The movie starts at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22 at the Regal Cinemas, 282 Loudon Road in Concord. Tickets are limited, so reserve your seats today!

Back by popular demand: AARP Day at five New Hampshire wineries. It’s all on Sunday, May 17 and five seacoast-area vineyards will offer free tastings – and other freebies – for AARP members and their guests. Last year’s festivities were fun and fabulous and you asked for a repeat performance. You spoke and we listened!

I am Claira Monier and a volunteer with AARP New Hampshire. I am here to today to testify in support of social service programs like Meals on Wheels and Transportation that are important community-based programs that keep seniors at home and independent.

AARP New Hampshire will be tooting our own horn on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 when we unveil a new local offering with the Manchester Community Music School. Have you always wanted to learn an instrument or see what the Manchester Community Music School could bring to your life?

The Palace Theatre – in celebration of its 100 th anniversary – is offering AARP members and their guests a $10 discount to Les Miserables. The discounted performances will be held May 1 through May 16 at The Palace Theatre, 72 Hanover Street, in downtown Manchester. There are both 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm performances.
