AARP Eye Center
Whether you consider yourself a karaoke star or a shower singer, your pipes are perfect for the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor Sip & Sing Concert Series sponsored by AARP.
Every Friday at 5 p.m., until Dec. 17, join the fun on Zoom with a free virtual 45-minute sing-along.
Broadway and Bay Street star Kyle Barisich will lead participants in a medley of numbers, ranging from well-known show tunes to popular American songs to traditional holiday hits. You may even be heard
on a livestream of the event on iHeartRadioBroadway.com.
If you don’t know the lyrics, don’t worry, since they appear on the Zoom screen so you can follow along. And music can stimulate the brain and improve memory, according to research from the Global Council on Brain Health.
As you belt out your favorite tunes, don’t forget the sip part of the event, and enjoy your beverage of choice.
“Getting to see friends and strangers all joining in enthusiastically really does inspire folks to sing out,” Barisich says. “Some people sing along, and some just listen, but everyone who joins us can enjoy the vibe—it’s like a weekly online cocktail party!”
