Islip Arts Council is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, and AARP Long Island is excited to collaborate on a special exhibition: FIVE DECADES OF INSPIRATION. This unique event invites artists aged 50 and over to submit artwork that reflects their favorite decade—whether it's the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, or 10s.
Exhibition Details:
- Dates: November 6 – November 29, 2024
- Location: Islip Arts Council Gallery, South Shore Mall, Bay Shore, NY
- VIP Reception: November 8, 6-8 PM, featuring a 70s/80s band. Artists are encouraged to dress according to their decade of choice.
Submission Period:
- October 8 – October 20, 2024

Artists can submit work in various styles, from contemporary to abstract. For submission guidelines and to download the prospectus, visit the Islip Arts Council website. Please email submissions with details including Title, Medium, Size, Date, and your contact information.
