New York City Mayoral Voter Guide 2017

Welcome to our voters’ guide for the 2017 New York City mayoral race. Joining us to give their views on issues of interest to voters 50-plus are Sal Albanese, the Reform candidate,  Mayor Bill de Blasio, the Democratic candidate, Bo Dietl, Independent candidate and Nicole Malliotakis, the Republican candidate.

Each of the candidates provided an opening remark and answered the same four questions, seeking their vision for New York City on issues that 50-plus residents have told us they care about. These include affordability, age-friendly communities, affordable housing and reinventing aging services.

Each candidate had 90 seconds to answer and none of the candidates could hear their opponent’s response.

We thank the candidates for meeting with us, and we thank you for taking the time to become informed on the issues. And don’t forget to vote on November 7!
