AARP North Carolina recently recognized the work of Senator Richard Burr for his role in the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act. On “Without Limits,” you will learn more about some of the programs the Act helps support.

This week’s guest is Debi Lee, the Assistant Director Aging Programs, Centralina Area Agency on Aging. They cover Mecklenburg County and eight surrounding counties. Centralina Area Agency on Aging (AAA) strives to support and enhance the capacity of service and advocacy systems to promote independence, preserve dignity and advocate for the rights of older and disabled adults and their families.

As one of the 16 Area Agencies on Aging in North Carolina the Agency plans, develops, coordinates, and delivers a wide range of long-term services and supports. You’ll learn more about those services that help vulnerable older adults and people with disabilities live with independence and dignity in their homes and communities. You’ll also find out how you can become more personally involved in successful aging.
