Play Ball! Discounts for Reds, Indians

AARP members can buy discount tickets to each of eight baseball games across the state this summer, including an Aug. 7 Cincinnati Reds home game against the Cleveland Indians.

The discount also applies to Cleveland home games against the Los Angeles Angels, June 19, and Seattle Mariners, July 31. Minor league teams offer AARP discounts to cheer the Akron RubberDucks, July 17; Toledo Mud Hens, July 30; Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Aug. 6; Columbus Clippers, Aug. 14; and Dayton Dragons, Aug. 28.

AARP Ohio will staff a table at each game, where members can get information about upcoming events and claim gifts by showing their membership cards.

Discounts are available at the following home games:

Cleveland Indians – vs. Los Angeles Angels, Thursday, June 19, at 12:05 p.m., and vs. Seattle Mariners, Thursday, July 31, at 7:05 p.m. Call 216-420-4162 or go to (passcode: AARP).

Akron Rubber Ducks –  vs. Erie Seawolves, Thursday, July 17 at 7:05 p.m. Call 330-253-5252, ext. 281, and identify yourself as an AARP member. Bonus food voucher available.

Toledo Mud Hens – vs. Norfolk Tides, Wednesday, July 30, at 7 p.m. Call 419-725-4367 or go to the box office (passcode: 2014MudHens).

Mahoning Valley Scrappers – vs. Brooklyn Cyclones, Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 7:05 p.m. Call 330-505-0000 and identify yourself as an AARP member.

Columbus Clippers – vs. Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, Thursday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. Call 614-462-2757.

Dayton Dragons – vs. Lansing Lugnuts, Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. AARP members will be seated in the Dragons Lair. The first 15 members to show up at the AARP table by 6:20 p.m. will be eligible for a tour of the ballpark. Call 937-228-2287.
