Now through April 18, AARP Foundation is providing free tax assistance and preparation through its Tax-Aide program. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, in its 49th year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, offering free tax preparation help to anyone, especially those who are 50 and older, who cannot afford a tax preparation service

Northeast Ohio resident Semanthie Brooks, ACSW, LISW, has recently been appointed to the AARP Ohio Executive Council. Executive Council members are appointed volunteers, who work with the Ohio office and other volunteers to provide ongoing strategic direction for state activities in support of AARP priority issues framed by the AARP National Board of Directors.

Earlier this month we were thrilled to collaborate with the Alpha Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. (AKA), the nation’s oldest predominately African American sorority, to present six screenings of Hidden Figures in Cleveland.

AARP Ohio joins the nation and especially our great state of Ohio, as we celebrate the extraordinary life of Senator Glenn.
