At the core of AARP Minnesota’s mission are incredible volunteers. We deeply appreciate their efforts in bringing AARP’s purpose to life to empower people to choose how they live as they age. Our volunteers are not only skilled and dedicated but also passionate about giving back to their communities and supporting the 50-plus population in living their best lives.
Throughout 2024, AARP DC continued to advocate for policies to empower District residents to improve their lives and choose where and how they live as they age. AARP DC has a long history of supporting older District residents who want to live independently as they age. This year, AARP DC fought for issues that matter most to seniors, their families and caregivers.

Bob Lovinger is a retired journalist and grant writer turned AARP Volunteer. He is a resident of Bristol County. He's part of a group of AARP Volunteers who are comitted to making Massachusetts more livable for people of all ages. He writes a monthly column about the Age-Friendly movement in the Bay State.
AARP New Hampshire is pleased to recognize Iris Altilio, of Pembroke, as the 2024 recipient of the Andrus Award for Community Service which honors Granite Staters 50-plus who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.
Get ready to dance your way to fitness with Zumba Gold classes at Alicea Field of Dreams (Hess Road). These classes are a lower-intensity version of the Zumba exercise class that's designed for older adults, beginners, and people with physical limitations.
