Markey shared his family caregiving story: his father, a retired milkman, cared for his mother after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1985. At the conference in Worcester, volunteers learned a variety of ways they can use their time and talents to help the Bay State's 50+ population.

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed the Caregiver Tax Credit Act (Legislative Bill 937) into law on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, that would provide a nonrefundable tax credit to any family caregiver who incurs eligible expenditures for the care and support of an eligible family member.
