AARP Nebraska is bringing attention to Nebraska Legislature Bill 937 to Adopt the Caregiver Tax Credit Act. Introduced by State Senator Eliot Bostar, LB937 would help ensure family members who take care of their relatives with disabilities—incurring eligible expenditures for their care and support—are paid for their critical caregiving work through a nonrefundable tax credit.
AARP strongly supports proposals that provide equitable, cost-effective, and targeted property tax relief to those most burdened by their property tax bills. More Pennsylvanians will receive help through the Commonwealth’s Property Tax Rent Rebate Program, which delivers relief for age and income eligible homeowners and renters.
The second week of the Texas legislative session saw the unveiling of dueling budget proposals from House and Senate leaders who are starting negotiations over state spending billions of dollars apart and at odds over several key priorities.
