Across the country, millions of people are at risk of running out of savings after they retire, and Social Security alone isn’t enough to live on. In Wisconsin, the average benefits for a 65+ family is only about $20,000 per year, while older families on average spend $22,000 a year on food, utilities and health care alone.
The federal government is urging some 133,000 veterans who had money improperly withheld from their severance payments for combat-related injuries or other disability compensation to apply for tax refunds.

BACK TO WORK 50+ focuses on providing jobseekers with the skills they need to compete with confidence for full-time, in-demand jobs. Workshop participants can also apply for a free coaching program offering a variety of benefits including job search guidance, employer connections, computer skills training and more. Since 2013, thousands of people who have received coaching through BACK TO WORK 50+ have found employment.
