The AARP Foundation helps provide the means to receive and recruit Tax-Aide services for the community.
RALEIGH -- With individual retirement savings being insufficient for millions of North Carolinians, in 2019, the General Assembly passed the Small Business Retirement Study -- a measure that will advise state lawmakers on the best way to establish retirement savings options that work best for small business owners and their employees.
Tax-Aide is the nation's largest free tax preparation and assistance program. In Michigan last year, Tax-Aide helped more than 65,000 taxpayers and returns for those filers was more than $28 million. Help is provided at 150 sites across the state.
North Dakota homeowners could be eligible for property tax credits if they meat certain income requirements. Also, renters could also qualify for a refund program if they meet eligibility requirements.
