Troy J. Broussard joins AARP Kentucky State Office as State Director
The 2023 award recipient is a longtime volunteer credited with supervising the building of 97 Habitat for Humanity homes.
Every election season, AARP advocates for the issues that are important to Granite Staters 50-plus. Our volunteers are our boots on ground at campaign events where they ask questions and get every candidate on the record about where they stand on the issues that matter the most to our members and all people age 50-plus.

When AARP volunteer Ira Turner took the mound at Jackie Robinson Ballpark this summer to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Daytona Tortugas minor league game, he was right at home. Why? Because he was being honored as the AARP Volunteer of the Week on the very same field he played collegiately – just the start of his incredible professional baseball career.

Hayworth won the award through a vote on AARP Wyoming’s Facebook page, and the AARP Wyoming email distribution list. In total, Hayworth received over 760 votes, beating her closest competition by over 400 votes.
