Come for Music, Food and Fun at PACfest

Print

Palo Alto College celebrates its annual Fiesta San Antonio event—PACfest—on Thursday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the college campus. Food, music, games and other entertainment make this AARP-sponsored event a fiesta hit. Admission is free for all attendees.

Visit the AARP booth to meet AARP staff and volunteers, who will be on hand to speak with San Antonians about the work they are doing in their community. AARP Texas is seeking PACfest volunteers to welcome visitors and hand out membership information. To volunteer, contact Lisa Rodriguez, AARP associate state director for multicultural outreach, at 210-501-2701 or lrodriguez@aarp.org. Everyone is welcome and T-shirts will be provided to volunteers.

PACfest will feature artistic and musical performers throughout the day, with Michael Salgado, a Norteño musician, scheduled to close the event. More than 50 food and arts and crafts vendors will participate, providing a cross section of cultural, social and nutritional offerings. Activities include a children’s educational area.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is $5 after 4 p.m. without a valid Alamo Colleges parking permit.
