Eat Healthy with Farmer's Market Produce

SOUTHWEST FOODS m

Just about everyone knows fresh produce and whole grains are healthy, but some people have difficulty including such foods in their daily diets. AARP Tennessee has a suggestion: Meet Me at the Farmer’s Market.

Middle Tennesseeans of all ages are welcome to shop at the Nashville Farmers’ Market, 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd., 362 days a year. But those who go on the second Wednesday of each month will find AARP volunteers on hand with tips on how to cook healthy meals, plus how to sign up for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which are accepted by most vendors at the market.

For more information, go to nashvillefarmersmarket.org or call 615-880-2001.
