FERRUM, Va. — A community-led park in Ferrum marked a major milestone on Friday, Sept. 12, with the grand opening of a new ADA-accessible trail, made possible through a $15,000 grant from AARP’s Community Challenge program.

We wanted to thank all who stopped by and donated school supplies to benefit The Banquet’s Project: S.O.S. A special thank you as well to our wonderful volunteers for serving up the best coffee in town and helping to gather the donations!

Small changes in your home can make a big difference in your life!
Longtime AARP Volunteer, Wahed Hossaini, collected food and donations at the Eid dinner service he attended with his family on Monday, July 28 in Fairfax. Wahed has been "creating the good" for many years now by participating in our annual food drive. His efforts make a huge difference for our local food pantry, ECHO. Wahed has collected and donated over $5,000 and many thousands of pounds of food for ECHO.
