Veterans

As May is National Military Appreciation Month, AARP Virginia would like to feature our members who are also veterans. For the first week, we proudly introduce Suba Satyanarayan, who served in the United States Air Force for 25 years. In this brief interview, he recounts memorable times from his career and sends a message to those currently serving.

AARP salutes those who have served and still serve. We support our veterans and their families with information on career support, caregiving resources, community connections and more. It’s why we’re proud to recognize Veterans that served during the Vietnam Era and their families.
Virginia Beach, Virginia – Virginia residents reported 7,656 cases of identity theft to the Federal Trade Commission during 2017, yet a new AARP survey finds that almost half of consumers ignore experts’ recommendations to regularly shred their sensitive financial records.
