Medicare Open Enrollment is just around the corner. Beneficiaries can make changes to their Medicare Part D (prescription drugs) and Medicare Advantage plans from October 15 – December 7. But while it’s open enrollment for beneficiaries, it’s also unfortunately open season for con-artists hoping to steal your personal and financial information. In fact, American’s lose more than 60 billion dollars each year to Medicare fraud.

Millions of Californians are adding a job skill to their “life résumé” – that of family caregiver. Often they are assisting their loved ones so they can stay at home, but AARP surveys say that they often don’t know where to turn for help. These family caregivers have a huge responsibility, but are often unaware of the critical resources and support available to them and how to cope with the challenges that come with being a caregiver.
