What is Hope?

What is hope?

And why?

Because:

It gives life meaning.

It fulfills aspirations.

It thrusts you upward when life pulls you down into despair.

It raises your mouth instead of lowering your lips

It widens the eyes instead of squeezing the brows.

It waters the garden of the soul,

And colors the flowers of the spirit.

That’s why there is:

A wispy white plumage to dress the blue sky,

A prism of light on the wet horizon,

A burst of color out of the dark,

A mountain top pointed to the sky,

A reaching high,

High Clasping,

Fingers entwined,

A face golden in the glistening sun,

A forever.
