AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers can help Wisconsin residents prepare federal and state tax returns. Available through April 15, the free service is geared to low- to moderate-income taxpayers, especially those age 60-plus. There are no age or income restrictions, however, and AARP membership is not required.

Last year, more than 850 trained volunteers helped about 67,000 Wisconsinites prepare forms and apply for tax credits and deductions. The volunteers know about changes in state tax law—such as deductions for long-term care insurance and health care costs.

For information on locations, hours and whether you need an appointment, go to aarp.org/findtaxhelp or call 888-227-7669 toll-free.
