Wyoming’s Audubon chapters and regional office already offer year-round activities, including field trips, nature talks, “Mindful Birding,” and online classes through Audubon Rockies.
As Wyoming and Cheyenne specifically experience a boom in data center builds, a common concern arises whether the additional energy demand from data centers will result in higher power prices for Wyoming residents. At least two local experts don’t believe that will be the case — at least not directly.
A lot has changed since August, 2016 - including Bret’s retirement - see the article on page 5. As we are recruiting for a Bret replacement (it’s likely that we will have hired a replacement before you read this) I am struck by how amazing the AARP Wyoming staff and volunteers are.

The event, called Senior High Tech, is a collaboration between SkillsUSA students from around the state, AARP Wyoming and the Casper Senior Center. The training is free and there is no requirement to be an AARP member or over age 50 in order to take part in the event. In addition to the tech tutoring, a free lunch, courtesy of AARP Wyoming will be available at the Casper Senior Center on April 25.

According to Department of Revenue Director Brenda Henson, the application for property tax refunds went live on April 1 and can be procured by calling The State Revenue Department office at 307-777-7320, going online to WPTRS.wyo.gov., or from your local county treasurer's office. Application deadline for tax year 2022 refunds is June 5.
AARP shredding events help you to stay one step ahead of identity thieves by shredding personal and financial documents. Please bring your documents in something easy to dump into the shred truck like boxes or paper bags. AARP Wyoming allows up to two large boxes to be dropped off per vehicle.
