A series of free online presentations in September aim to help Wyoming’s age 50+ avoid falls in and outside of the home. The series is called “Falls Prevention Fridays,” and is a collaboration of the Wyoming Department of Health Injury and Violence Prevention Program, Wyoming Department of Health Aging Division, AARP Wyoming, Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, and Wyoming Center on Aging.
AARP Wyoming State Director Sam Shumway released a statement today asking lawmakers to continue funding of the Wyoming Home Services (WyHS) program next legislative session.
The impacts of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic have been felt across the globe, including the Cowboy State. As of late June, over 1,200 Wyomingites had been diagnosed with or assumed to have COVID-19 with 20 of those cases resulting in death. Another 900 had recovered.
