AARP Virginia will hold community conversations around the state about Social Security and Medicare. You’ve Earned a Say about the future of Medicare and Social Security, but too many politicians in Washington aren’t listening.
RICHMOND – Participants will learn how to decrease debt, increase savings, handle their estate and make the most of their retirement income. They also will learn skills to improve their quality of life and find peace of mind about their finances!
Richmond – AARP Virginia, teaming up with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will host an “encore entrepreneur” event in Richmond on May 8. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-Noon at the Retail Merchants Association, 5101 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23230.
A remote area medical clinic in Wise County provided health care services to 1,700 uninsured Virginians in July 2012.
AARP successfully worked with several coalitions to advance priorities for the 50+ population during the 2012 Virginia General Assembly session.
