Would you like to see a park located near the new Transit Center in Montpelier that provides connectivity to the bike path and access to the river? If so, please join VT River Conservancy (VRC) & AARP VT on Tuesday, December 4th to hear about the Confluence River Park in the heart of downtown Montpelier. This park will be located on the One Taylor Street parcel, at the confluence of the North Branch and main stems of the Winooski River. VRC has contracted with an engineering and design firm to create a Conceptual Design for the park. Come hear about the process and timeline, offer input to make this park age-friendly by sharing your priorities for a Confluence River Park. What would you like to see at a Montpelier riverside park? Retail prices for many of the most commonly-used brand name drugs by older adults rocketed upward by an average of 8.4 percent in 2017, outstripping the general inflation rate of 2.1 percent. The annual average cost of therapy for just one brand name drug increased to almost $6,800 in 2017.
