Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas greeted the 150 AARP members that came to the New Hampshire Institute of Politics on June 24 for AARP’s first-ever SCAM JAM. Participants left with more in-depth knowledge of the tactics con artists use; identity theft; credit and debit card fraud; imposter scams; and investment scams.

AARP warns more must be done to change our long-term care system in order to give people the care they want and need, in the setting of their choice, at a lesser price. Nearly all – 94% -- of New Hampshire residents say they want to age at home, and not a nursing home.

The Millyard Museum is offering a $3 discount on admission and a special lecture for AARP members all day Saturday, June 14. Admission includes access to all the exhibits as well as a special talk by Carol Lee Anderson on cartoonist Bob Montana. Museum hours are 10:00 to 4:00 with the lecture at 11:00.
