Regional volunteer briefings will be scheduled in every region of Arkansas throughout 2013 to give volunteers a chance to meet with each other and staff from the state office. Politicians from both parties made campaign promises not to cut Social Security benefits for current seniors. But now, some in Washington are trying to make a last minute budget deal that would cut the Social Security cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) by $112 billion over the next 10 years.
