All participants will get a hands-on experience with their Android Smartphones as well as a free touchscreen stylus pen. All registrants must bring their own Android Smartphone to get the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) experience. This AARP event is fun and free, but seating is limited. Classes are filling up fast!

Volunteers are needed to prepare federal and state of Georgia tax returns. Last year over 38,000 returns were processed at no charge at 119 sites in the state with 871 volunteers. This free service to consumers began 47 years ago with a small group of four people and has grown to help provide needed assistance especially for but not limited to the age 60+ population. Locations where the service is offered may be libraries, senior centers, recreational parks or colleges. All volunteers who will prepare tax returns will need to attend a five-day training program which will be held in early January. The tax preparation season will run from February 1 through April 15, 2016.
