AARP Long Island is proud to partner with The Gateway, Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, which presents the best in live theatrical entertainment both at the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport Village as well as the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Main Street in Patchogue Village. This will be their 67th season of live, professional theatre at The Gateway.

Combating fraud is a priority for AARP New York, which represents approximately 2.7 million members age 50-plus throughout New York State. In a 2014 report, AARP found that 43% of 50+ voters in New York State or someone they know, have encountered a fraud or scam in the past 5 years and 56% are extremely to very worried about becoming a victim of identity theft, which was tops among all types of fraud.

Winterfest Live on the Vine Kickoff event drew close to 300 concertgoers and arts supporters to Riverhead's Suffolk Theater. Performances by Andrew Fortier, Toby Walker and Miles to Dayton entertained audiences. Winterfest Live on the Vine, produced by East End Arts Council, is a five week winter music, wine and arts festival which takes place throughout Long Island's north and south forks. Performances by top name and emerging artists in rock, jazz, blues, country, soul, world and more. Pictured here is Jim Lennon, board president of East End Arts Council who thanked this years sponsors, including AARP Long Island. AARP will be the official weekend sponsor of March 11-12-13.
