Cycling
People of all ages will take to San Jose's streets on Sunday, May 19, for Viva CalleSJ day. Participants will set out on bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters and walking shoes to enjoy six miles of traffic-free streets, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We've saved our longest-distance spotlight for last -- AARP California District Liaison Griff Weber, who sent us his responses all the way from Kathmandu, Nepal where he was spending time traveling.

Today we'd like to introduce you to Alan Sloan, a a member of our AARP California Executive Council who says that knowing that he is making a difference at  the age 86 keeps him motivated as a volunteer.

Today we'd like to introduce you to Gale Nagato, a Sacramentan who enjoys Japanese folk music and volunteering for local HomeFit Workshops, which were created to help people stay in the homes they love by turning where they live into a "lifelong home," suitable for themselves and anyone in their household.
