Joe Garbanzos has been named AARP’s California State President. The state president is a volunteer who serves as spokesperson and representative for AARP across California. In this role, Joe will chair the all-volunteer Executive Council, a diverse group of professionals who provide advice and counsel to advance AARP’s social mission in California.
Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7pm for a live teletown hall with Dr. Tomás Aragón, Director of the California Department of Public Health and the State Public Health Officer, who will address the latest COVID-19 pandemic news and vaccine distribution information in California. The event will be moderated by Patricia Pérez, AARP California State President.

AARP California is looking for our next State President, a top volunteer position that helps provide high-level strategic advice, oversees the Executive Council and diverse volunteer corps, and advocates on behalf of people who are 50 plus.
