Español From the classic celebration of Fiestas Patrias, to our association with the popular soccer team, the LA Galaxy and our participation in the popular CicLAvia; AARP in Los Angeles has prepared several events to celebrate Latino contributions to our society and also provide you with tools to help make your life better as you age. Many of our events are free, but for a select few you must sign up in advance.

Muchos de nuestros eventos son gratis, pero en algunos de ellos debes inscribirte con anticipación.

Join AARP on Sunday, September 23 rd for a full day of fun! This year, prior to the annual Viva CalleSJ Open Streets Program, AARP will sponsor a 5K run to take full advantage of the car free streets.

English El programa AARP Foundation Tax-Aide es el servicio gratuito de ayuda con la preparación de las declaraciones de impuestos, brindado por voluntarios, más grande del país.

This August, AARP will be partnering with the Pilipinx American Library (PAL) and the Asian Art Museum to celebrate and examine Filipino literature and art over a series of events. PAL is a mobile, non-circulating library that collects print histories and celebrates narratives exclusively by Filipino writers, poets, artists and scholars.

“The human contribution is the essential ingredient. It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live.” The quote by AARP founder Ethel Percy Andrus still rings true today and continues to shape this association dedicated to helping people age 50+ live their best lives.

Español As in previous years, this summer we have several and a variety of events specially prepared for you, your friends and your loved ones. You can meet in person your favorite L.A. Galaxy players, educate yourself about the power of protests by Chicanos in Los Angeles during the 60's seeking social justice; as well as take your little ones to enjoy an intergenerational free show. Register for each event in order to receive a surprise gift. ¡We look forward to seeing you there!

El jueves 7de junio de 2018, la graduada de la escuela secundaria Abraham Lincoln, Gissell Jiménez, fue elegida como la recipiente de la beca Premio Oportunidad Andrus de este año, junto con $5,000 para ayudarla a pagar su educación universitaria. El reconocimiento es nombrado en honor de la fundadora de AARP la Dra. Ethel Percy Andrus, quien fungió como la directora de la secundaria Lincoln de 1916 a 1944.
