Is it possible that living a life with meaning can help improve our mental and physical health as we age? To help answer this question, AARP Virginia sponsored a special screening and workshop for The Hidden Power of Purpose, a feature-length documentary narrated by Debbie Allen. This special screening was held on Jan. 11th at the Arcola Church in Dulles.

AARP Community Challenge grants help locals transform neglected public spaces and give them a second life.
Seven entities in Connecticut received AARP Community Challenge grants totaling $56,883. AARP Connecticut also awards grants of up to $5,000 each to similar projects.
In Virginia, AARP will push to create a fast-track process to determine Medicaid eligibility and help older residents age in place.
