For many, Christmastime is the happiest part of the year. And a very important part of the season’s celebrations is, of course, FOOD!!!! We all want to relish in our most local and typical dishes. Not only sweets, but the entire gamut of our local rich cuisine. For that reason, I picked a simple recipe to share with AARP; one that is not only Crucian, but Caribbean (ESPECIALLY Jamaican) and Puerto Rican! It’s SALTFISH FRITTERS. Building great communities takes time – but small, tangible improvements can spark lasting change. That’s the idea behind the AARP Community Challenge, a grant program launched in 2017 to support quick-action projects that enhance livability nationwide.

AARP's nationwide movement, I Am A Caregiver, now represents nearly 63 million Americans, including 2.2 million Ohio caregivers. To many lawmakers, America’s millions of caregivers are invisible. Yet, these family caregivers hold up a broken long-term care system, which is why AARP is looking for your help.

This past week, AARP Florida brought energy, movement, and plenty of smiles to the court with a special Pickleball Clinic led by professional players from the APP Tour—and it was a smash hit.
