AARP Eye Center
A continually growing number of grandparents are faced with the decision of caring for and/or raising their grandchildren. Some Boomers are also dealing with their aging parents in the home. Not only are they caring for their grandchildren and their parents but they are also caring for themselves and in some cases their spouses as well. A workshop on June 24, 2014 will provide information on resources to help grandparents manage.
These Caregivers are juggling, coping and facing challenges they had not anticipated or planned. These sudden caretakers may sometimes face repositioning their lives, having to suddenly retrieve information about resources, programs, supportive services, financial benefits, housing, healthcare, schools, senior and recreational services and other resources they figured were needs of the past. You are not alone! We are in this together.
AARP DC is proud to sponsor this Children's Health Board conference that will address these issues and provide support and resources that you or someone you know may find beneficial. We also acknowledge the presenters of this conference, the Children’s Health Project of DC and the Children’s Health Center at THEARC. There are dynamic speakers on the agenda and many resources to share.
Be inspired, informed and rejuvenated all in a one-day session. Come and join this all day workshop that includes dynamic speakers, continental breakfast, and lunch, free parking and is located in the new comfortable setting of THEARC.
