AARP Idaho will reach out to military veterans and their families at the North Idaho Veteran Stand Down on May 10.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in cooperation with other agencies and nonprofit organizations, Stand Down provides services such as food, shelter, clothing and health screenings for veterans in need.

The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’Alene. Attendees can visit the AARP booth for information about the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange and efforts to fight fraud.
