Thousands of Idahoans will have the opportunity to participate in a “telephone town hall" meeting with Idaho President Pro Tem of the Senate Brent Hill and Speaker of the House Scott Bedke. AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will moderate the conversation and take questions from callers across the state.

You are invited to attend the upcoming AARP Volunteer Network Meeting on January 7th, at 1:30 pm (mtn). This is an opportunity to learn more about volunteering with AARP and all of the available opportunities to serve in your community. This meeting is also a chance to hear from AARP Associate State Director of Advocacy Francoise Cleveland. She’ll be discussing the upcoming legislative session, AARP day at the Capitol and other legislative priorities including property tax reduction, retirement savings and more.

AARP members and guests in the Nampa and Idaho Falls area are invited to a free screening of Green Book - starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali.

Join AARP Idaho for a day at the legislature at the Idaho Capitol on February 3, 2020. Visit with state legislators, attend committee meetings, and learn more about AARP Idaho's 2020 legislative priorities.

With the state legislative session set to begin on Monday, Jan. 6, AARP Idaho is looking for online activists to advocate for key priorities.

Mark your calendars for the final volunteer network meeting of the year at the downtown AARP Idaho Boise state office. On December 10th at 1:30 p.m., AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will give the state of AARP Idaho, a 2019 year-in-review of the accomplishments and work being done in Idaho with the help of volunteers. After the meeting at 2:30 p.m., enjoy a social hour on us at a local restaurant that will be within walking distance from the office.
