New-York Historical Society | The First Jewish Americans: Virtual Exhibition

Businesswoman listening to earbuds and working in home office

AARP New York and the New-York Historical Society are proud to bring back virtual tours to the comfort of your home!

AARP members and guests can join us for a FREE exhibition: The First Jewish Americans: Freedom and Culture in the New World.

In this exhibition, rare portraits, drawings, maps, documents, and ritual objects show how 18th- and 19th-century artists, writers, activists, and more adopted American ideals while struggling to remain distinct and socially cohesive within the birth of a new Jewish American tradition.
