AARP is presenting workshops statewide to give New Yorkers the information and tools they need to secure a comfortable retirement. The workshops cover topics such as entrepreneurship, saving and financial planning.

“In these days of economic uncertainty, we could all use a little help sharpening our financial skills,” said Reggie Nance, AARP associate state director for multicultural outreach.

Thirty percent of Gen Xers and 38 percent of boomers lack any kind of retirement savings plan, whether work-sponsored or personal.
