Many boomers are launching small businesses—whether to augment income, pursue a dream or make the world a better place. To help them succeed, AARP New Hampshire, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Center for Women’s Business Advancement are cosponsoring seminars for encore entrepreneurs.

Three such events are scheduled this month in Keene, Lebanon and Plymouth. At each seminar, a panel of experts will discuss local resources available to people interested in starting or growing a new business.

Only 13 percent of New Hampshire residents age 50-plus plan to retire and never return to work upon reaching traditional retirement age.
