AARP North Dakota is sponsoring candidate debates beginning Sept. 4 on Prairie Public Broadcasting.
In July AARP North Dakota was fortunate to host the world’s leading expert on fraud and scams in Fargo, where he spoke to about 1,000 people. Abagnale also participated in a telephone town hall with thousands of North Dakotans that day. You can listen to that conversation here.

Marlys Hlavinka of Mayville will be presented with the 2017 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service during a volunteer recognition luncheon Oct. 12 in Fargo.
Duane Bergeson of Bismarck will be presented with the 2016 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service during a volunteer recognition banquet Oct. 5 in Bismarck.

Alice Hoffert of Grand Forks will be presented with the 2015 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service Sept. 23 in Fargo.
People who attended AARP Night at the Museum July 31 at the North Dakota Heritage Center collectively donated 330 pounds of food and paper products, which was given to Ministry on the Margins in Bismarck.
