AARP Ohio is sponsoring  two free virtual events focused on veterans. One will feature a tour of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, followed by a veteran-focused Fraud Watch discussion. The other will spotlight an art exhibit of veteran portraits.

We know that it takes time to build great communities. But, we also believe that tangible improvements can spark long-term change. AARP launched the Community Challenge in 2017 to fund projects that build momentum to improve livability for all. AARP Ohio’s Statewide Advocacy Volunteer Lead, Diane Pekunka, has recently been appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to the newly formed Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Task Force. The Task Force is the next step in the creation of an Alzheimer’s plan for the Buckeye State.
