Home modifications can make a world of difference to people who want to continue to live independently as they age. Homeowners in southern Oregon can get information about such features at an April 26 symposium in Medford.

Cosponsored by AARP Oregon, the event will include a tour of a certified “lifelong” home, as well as workshops on how to install age-friendly features. Builders and health care professionals will discuss ways to make a home safe and convenient at any age.

AARP also sponsors the Age-Friendly Rogue Valley series airing on community-access station RVTV the second Thursday of each month through June.

To register for the symposium, email oraarp@aarp.org.
