On behalf of our 1.8 million members across the state, AARP Pennsylvania appreciates that Governor Tom Wolf’s proposed budget for FY 2022/2023 shows awareness of the myriad of challenges that Pennsylvanians and their families face. As a result, many older phones will be unable to make or receive calls and text messages or use data services. This may also affect devices that rely on 3G connectivity, such as medical alert devices, tablets, smartwatches, in-car SOS services, Kindle readers, home security products and other devices that are dependent on 3G.
Harrisburg, PA - Today, AARP launched the AARP Veterans and Military Spouses Job Center, a new digital platform bringing together valuable information and resources to help Pennsylvania’s 943,417 veterans and military spouses compete in today’s job market. The job center includes a new Veterans Career Advantage Course to build on career planning and skills development to help navigate the job market.
