Want to Learn How to Start Your Own Business?

opportunity

To open doors of opportunity in economically disadvantaged areas, AARP is providing information to help people 40 and older start their own businesses.

At the North Carolina Community Action Association conference May 6 to 10 in Raleigh, AARP also will give a presentation for community organizers and leaders working to eradicate poverty.

The conference is designed to help communities provide job opportunities in the state, where about 16 percent of people live in poverty.
