AARP is launching a nationwide movement, I Am A Caregiver. To many lawmakers, America’s millions of caregivers are invisible. Yet, these family caregivers hold up a broken long-term care system, which is why AARP is looking for your help.
People of all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds are welcome to these free, ongoing events. After a brief health discussion from a healthcare provider, participants will spend the rest of the time enjoying a healthy walk at their own pace. They are encouraged to ask health questions and socialize with others in a fun, relaxed setting.

The walks kicked off last week as Cheyenne Mayor Patrick Collins joined the inaugural lap group. On the first Thursday of each month a short presentation or discussion takes place, on different aspects of healthy aging such as diet, nutrition, and mental wellness, and then the walk gets underway.
