Mother’s day is almost here! If you are thinking about scheduling last minute flower deliveries beware! With thousands of online flowers being ordered, crooks have hit a new low of setting up fake online flower shops, and then promoting then all over the internet. They attract buyers by claiming to have cheap prices, but in reality are just taking your credit card info and, you guessed it, not delivering flowers. Make sure to research the seller. Do your homework and don’t get lured by cheap prices. Make sure every mom has the chance to be celebrated this mother’s day!

In a recent AARP survey, more than 9 in 10 Iowa voters age 18 and older said it is important for presidential candidates to lay out a plan to make Social Security financially sound for future generations. That level of support held across party lines and age groups.
California lawmakers are considering whether to increase exemptions for bankruptcy debtors to allow individuals and families a better chance of keeping their homes and to give small-business owners a stronger chance of recovery.
AARP Connecticut State Director Nora Duncan provided the following statement in regards to the Connecticut state senate passing Public Act 16-29, an act creating the Connecticut Retirement Security Program:
There has been a lot of debate about the recent passage of PA 16-29, an act creating the Connecticut Retirement Security. It is understandable and expected for some to support the bill and others to oppose, however, those opinions should be formed on fact:
