Dozens of baseball fans are sporting custom AARP Houston Astros jerseys after attending AARP Day at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, September 27. Anyone who registered received a ticket to the game. AARP volunteers and staff distributed the jerseys, and other AARP branded swag during the Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks matchup.
DeCamp will help provide vision and leadership for AARP's work at the state and community level
Rich Sodon, AARP New Jersey’s 2021 Community Engagement Award recipient, joined the AARP NJ Speakers Bureau in early 2020, just as the pandemic lockdowns went into effect. Despite being new to the Bureau, Rich quickly got up to speed on AARP’s goals, objectives, and procedures and jumped right in.
Linda Bowden of Burlington has been has been appointed State President of AARP Vermont, a volunteer position working closely with both staff and volunteers throughout the state to help AARP achieve its mission in Vermont. Her responsibilities include serving as a volunteer spokesperson, chairing the AARP Vermont Advisory Council, building networks and community partnerships, and recruiting volunteers.
AARP Kansas is seeking volunteers to help build relationships with veterans groups across the state.
